With chicness and smile, she invites us in her lovely flat in the neighborhood of Le Marais in the center of Paris...Marion is a girl that we love to have for best friend: stylish but cool, connected but always listening to the others, she shares easily her sens of style and avoid to become the uncopromising fashion gourou.
Let's meet our WHAT FOR girl of the month:
- Hello Marion, how could you describe yourself in a few words?
Hello! I'm Marion, photo stylist. My job is to interpret the future fashion trends to create some looks for photos in magazines, for brands or fashion projects.
- You are the stylist of the WHAT FOR SS17 look-book shot in Marrakech, what did you learn form this experience and what is your favorite style in the collection?
It was a funny exercice cause I had to find the perfect balance between looks and shoes. Here, the look is made to embellish the shoes and not the inverse so it's not what I use to do. I really like this look book 's concept with the twins and find some similar looks for the two models but still with a difference. It was really a game of colors and symmetry.
- You created the app CLOTHERY, a must to find the perfect look for any occasions. Where do you find your daily inspirations?
Clothery (http://www.clothery.com/) is an app who put your dressing in your smart phone to optimise the shopping sessions (see imediatly what is good to wear with) to be efficient every morning and create in advance some trendy looks because we all have this "I don't know what to wear" problem even if your dressing is full...
So, in the le blog's app, I try to take inspiration from girls I see in the streets, to understand what they like and need to give some good fashion advices. I try to keep the basics we all have and mix it with trandy pieces to make graet looks.
- What is the look/piece which will be the it of the summer?
Personally, I can't wait for the sunny days to wear some midi-skirts (lenght knees) with prints, stipes, etc... with a white shirt or messge tee-shirt for a vintage cool spirit. It works with skirts but also high waist jean or leather pants or a suit... let's find what you prefer on Clothery's blog ;)
- You just went to Japan.. what do you keep in mind from Japanese fashion?T
Contrary to what might sometimes be believed, there is not only "kawaï" looks". The japanese girl is not afraid to try new thing sin term of fashion. Not only like "jeans and tee-shirt "look. They love oversized pieces, long flowerish vests, boyish style, retro-sporty sweats, superpositions, and pastel hair. There is also a big Californian inspiration with boheme vintage style.
The trendy pieces are xl fryed jeans, high waisted and boheme accessories.
- FInally, at WHAT FOR the modjo is "from ordinary to extraordinary"... What would be your secret to make ordinary extraordinary?
I would have two: first is to be seld confident and think that you are extraordinary. With a good hairdo, good make up and style, you feel more confident and then more asserted. Say every morning "I am extraordinary" and you will be!
The second is: "less is more". Just find the good material, good shapes and it's already a good part of the success. You can also base your look on a great pair of shoes, it's really efficient! Assume your feminine side with high heels and skinny jeans or your boysih side with some derbies matching with a flowerish summer dress...
Be yourself and dare to make the difference, we leave one life, we have to enjoy it!
