She's in the "500 hundred most influent persons in the fashion world" as says the famous website "business of fashion": we met Misha Janette, stylist, blogger and Tokyo It-Girl at the Jardin des Tuileries in paris where she likes to walk between two business rendez vous.
Journalist and freelance stylist Misha Janette has attracted attention for her avant-garde style blog "Tokyo Fashion Diaries". Written in three languages, the blog quickly gathered a strong following for its fashion-forward posts on Japanese streetwear and designers, and, in 2011, was named "Top Tokyo Blog" by Vogue Japan.
In June 2012, alongside her blog, Misha also launched high-fashion wig brand Plumb, operated through her company Totteoki Inc. The company sells wigs in eye-popping colours and caters primarily to the flamboyant Japanese style set.
An American native, Misha moved to Tokyo in 2004 to pursue a course at the prestigious Bunka Fashion School. While at school, she working as an assistant for The Japan Times and began penning a regular column for the newspaper following her graduation in 2007.
Misha has also contributed to a number of international publications including The Guardian, The Sydney Morning Herald and Wallpaper. As a stylist, she has worked with Nicki Minaj and Rinko Kikuchi.
Because Misha knows exactly how to mix luxury pieces with most affordable ones, because she knows that an outfit, from head to toe, has to reflect the personnality and taste, the story of the person who wear it.
With her sweet voice and her brilliant sens of humour, she told us about her days in Berlin where she was for the Alternative Fashion week that she loves as musch as the Official ones in Paris, Milan, New-York or London.
As a real shoes lover, she confessed her crush in the WHAT FOR Fall Winter 16 collection for our Marilyn boots Marylin with their "minimal et animal" print and our Thigh high boots Perri and their awesome "mirror heels".
Rushes for her next fashion rendez vous, Misha said bye after a wonderful shooting under the Parisian sun, leaving us amazed by her strong energy, her natural photo friendliness and disarming kindness... she'll fly black in a few days in Tokyo where the fashion week will continue... we will follow her adventures there!
